JAMISON R MOORE
SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

THE MISSION

These scholarships are provided to Southern Illinois high school graduates who have lost one or both parents and are pursuing a career in the trades, vocational or technical fields.

This scholarship is given in memory of Jamison “Jami” R. Moore.  Two $500 scholarships will be awarded, one to a Carterville student and one to a Herrin student.

Jami was a 1990 graduate of Herrin High School.  While he made his home and raised his children in Carterville, he never forgot his Herrin roots.

Jami always liked creating with his hands, starting with his shop and automotive classes at Herrin High School.  He started working for Charlie’s Air Conditioning & Heating when he was 15 years old.  He began working full-time after graduation and was a Sheetmetal Foreman for the housing department at SIU when he passed away at 52 years old.
