JAMIE & MICHELLE
SNYDER SCHOLARSHIP FUND.

THE MISSION

This fund was established by Jamie & Michelle Snyder to benefit a student from Carbondale or Elverado High School that will be continuing their education in a vocational/trade field.

Jamie & Michelle Snyder Scholarship Fund

Jamie & Michelle Snyder created this scholarship to support students who wanted to further their education while staying in southern Illinois.   This scholarship focuses on opportunity, determination, work ethic, and potential — not GPA or academic rankings.

Success looks different for everyone, and Jamie & Michelle wanted to create a scholarship that recognizes students for who they are and where they hope to go. The scholarship was designed to support a graduating senior from either Carbondale Community High School (CCHS) or Elverado High School pursuing a career in a skilled trade such as electrical work, plumbing, welding, construction, or other essential hands-on professions. These careers play a vital role in keeping our communities strong, and it was important to us to encourage and invest in students pursuing these paths.

Requirements

To be eligible, a student must:

1. Be a graduating senior from Carbondale or Elverado High School.
2. Submit two Letters of Recommendation. One must come from a teachers/faculty member, and one from a community member.
3. Must be pursing a degree in a vocational/trade related field.
4. No GPA Requirement
5. Describe community involvement and services performed.
