THE MISSION
This fund was established in memory of Mr A (Gene Alexander), from Benton, IL
Mr. A Scholarship
Gene Alexander (Mr. A) is a fixture in Benton and in all of Southern Illinois. Mr. A is a retired school administrator/teacher who has tireless given back to many organizations, schools, churches, and individuals. For years, Mr. A has volunteered at Benton Grade School. Mr. A loves education. He helps the Benton Public Library, assists local teachers, and donates thousands of dollars each year to help fund scholarships for local students.
The Mr. A Fund Committee is working to provide Mr. A with the recognition he deserves, while also ensuring students will be awarded scholarships in his name in perpetuity.
