To foster and encourage private philanthropic giving to improve the communities of the southern Illinois region by connecting charitable donors with worthy causes and to build permanent endowment funds that will support those worthy causes.
SICF serves the 17 southernmost counties in Illinois including: Alexander, Franklin, Gallatin, Hamilton, Hardin, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Massac, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Union, Williamson and White.
